It's been a busy day...drove down to Tennessee with mom. Pretty uneventful drive, just making great time in my A4!
I'm thinking I need to keep better track of my letters to Ellen. I've already forgotten some of them...yikes it's only been 4 days!
I'm thinking I definitely need to get on the diet and workout come Monday!
I'm thinking a move by the end of the year is HIGHLY likely...
There's so much more, but i'm getting sleepy and i'm reading Midnight Sun on a different screen.
Oh and I went to a Wal-Mart (gag!) here in White House, TN to get my copy of Twilight, which was the MOST i've EVER paid for a dvd. Yikes and Goodnight!

Letters to Ellen

So i'm into Twilight. Actually i'm into Robert Pattinson. My four nieces and nephews so his name...they're 9,7,5 and 2 just to add a little perspective.
Today I stole an old Entertainment Weekly from my dentists office because he was on the cover. This cover over here to the left!
So anyways in my quest to meet him (I just want to ask him to lunch. No pressure) I started a letter writing campaign to Ellen. She makes dreams come true! I've stated to her that I will write her a letter a day until she lets me be her correspondent the premier of New Moon in LA in November!
I thought I would track the reasons I am giving her here, so that when asked I can recite without incident.
#1...it will be the best 30th birthday present that she can give me

Follow Your Dreams
So i've been thinking lately as alot of people often do, about following my dreams. I mean everyone has something they would really like to do...be a pilot, a nurse, a clown. What do ask did I want to be? A news reporter. To be more exact, a sports commentator. The funny thing is (or not so funny) is that I never pursued it. I went to college and was a Journalism major but switched to Communications after the first year. I can't even remember why I switched now? Must have been a "really good" reason at the time?
Well these types of decisions come creeping up when you least expect them. In my case it's the year I turn 30 (oh no!) and for the first time i'm really asking the question "what am I doing?"
I sort of feel like i've missed alot of opportunities to follow my dreams especially when it comes to career choices. So when does it become time to "hang up" those dreams and focus on what you're doing right now? I mean as much of a good thing I have going right now at work, it's not what I want to do long term. It's not even what I want to do in the next six months!
So as I continue to dream and most of all execute those dreams...anyone have any thoughts on the subject?

Robert Pattinson
I can't take it anymore! Not Edward Cullen...Robert Pattinson or pee in my pants R Pattz as I like to call him. I get that Edward is a character and quite honestly I don't like mush and EC is a little mushy, so it probably wouldn't work out for us. But Robert...sexy, charming Robert! What I see is his endearing charm and vulnerability that seems so sincere. My goals for '09 have suddenly come to include an insatiable desire to meet Mr. Pattinson. What can I do to make that happen?Tuesday, March 10, 2009
Twilight
I really considered starting a new blog where all I did was talk about Twilight. Not just Twilight, but New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Maybe even a third where all I did was talk about Robert Pattinson? You see these books have opened up a new world for me. Maybe this sounds lame, but I know there are alot of people who would say the same. I had been getting bored. Bored with the tv (my favorite thing ever) bored with going out (which I loathe and love simultaneously) and hadn't read a good book (unless you count chick-lit as good) in forever.
So here comes another weekend...my brother and I have been going to the movies once a week for as long as I can remember. We were off to see Four Christmases which I was pretty confident showed all the funny parts in the previews, but we went anyway. Well it was lame. the funny parts were in fact in the previews. Unsatisfied he suggested we see Twilight. I can now shamefully say I was hesitant. I'm not one for sci-fi. Sci-fi this was NOT. I loved it! GRIPPED immediately moment by moment watching Edward and Bella and Emmett and Rosalie and Carlisle and Alice and Esme and yes even sorta creepy Jasper and super dumb Charlie. Don't get me started on Jacob just yet, there will be plenty of time for that.
So back to my new favorite thing to talk about; TWILIGHT!! I love it. I love the story lines, the characters and yes now i'm loving the actors maybe not Kristen Stewart so much, but i'm not drinking the Kristen haterade just yet...
Fast forward 3 or so months and now i've succumbed to blogging about it. Better for you than listening to me whine about other non-important things:)))

Pen to Paper
It's been awhile since i've written anything down. Maybe because there are so many thoughts swirling around in my head it's hard to make sense of many of them? So here goes...
I guess i'm going to make a list of the things on my mind and circle back to one or two of them a day...there, that should help the writers block fade away real fast. Hopefully anyways!
1. Black and White - this one shouldn't be too bad. I already started a posted note with some thoughts I had.
2. Big picture - everyone knows I am not someone that thinks about the immediate. Instant gratification is not a reaction i'm prone to have. I've been thinking about my life long term lately and there are definitely some things I want to continue pursuing.
3. Back in the game - yes I AM back. There are alot of things this encompasses, so this should be a pretty juicy one...
4. Day to day - how to avoid getting the day to day blues
Okay four things. And i'm pretty wordy. So hopefully that should last a while.

Sometimes
Sometimes I miss my old life. Sometimes I really miss my old life. We had fun, everyday was something new and different and most of all I had an incredible support structure.
Those were some of the most tough and draining (physically and emotionally.) But, you know what? I really only remember the good times. Our super fun barbeque's, and going to Cubs games. We pretty much laughed all the time and found the most stupid things entertaining!
Today is one of those days of really missing. I wish I could go home...climb up four flights of stairs...make a frozen pizza and watch a silly movie with Mar and LL...
